ITANDJE: I'D BE MAD NOT TO LOVE IT HERE
0 Comments Published by NeOtHeOnE on Thursday 20 December 2007 at 22:47.Charles Itandje insists he is enjoying every minute of his Liverpool career and believes he would be 'mad' to regret joining the club - despite playing understudy to Reds number one Pepe Reina. | |
The former Lens stopper, who played only his third match for Rafael Benitez's men in the 2-0 Carling Cup defeat at Chelsea last night, admits it has been frustrating at times watching from the bench. But he accepts that he always knew he would have to be patient at a club the size of Liverpool and is confident he has now adapted to his new life in England. "The fact I don't play is not easy to experience," said Itandje. "The most frustrating thing is to wait and never know when you will play. "But I knew that when I signed here. I have to be patient. "The first step was to adapt to a new country, a new language and a new league. "Of course, at a certain time, if you don't play, you have to ask yourself the right questions, but it is not topical. "A lot of people advised me against coming to Liverpool, saying I will never play. "Do I have any regrets? I would be mad. There are people unemployed, and I am at Liverpool. I am enjoying every minute I get. by Paul Hassall 20 December 2007 |
