Liverpool welcome newly promoted Derby County to Anfield in the Barclays Premier League.

The last time the Rams played at Anfield was in April 2002 when two goals from Michael Owen earned the Reds a 2-0 win. Prior to the kick-off the England striker was presented with the Ballon D'or European Footballer of the Year award.

Rams boss Billy Davies got Derby promotion last season via the play-offs when they beat West Bromwich Albion at Wembley.

They started the season with a 2-2 draw at home to Portsmouth before they lost their next two matches at Manchester City (0-1) and Tottenham Hotspur (0-4). They lost 2-1 at home to Birmingham City last weekend.

The Rams crashed out of the Carling Cup on Tuesday night when they lost 7-6 on penalties to Blackpool.
