Liverpool entertain French side Auxerre in a pre-season friendly at Fribourg FC's Stadium St-Leonard in Switzerland.

This will be the second and final game as part of the Reds Swiss training camp before the team jet off to Hong Kong for the Barclays Asia trophy.

The last time Liverpool faced Auxerre was in the UEFA Cup in 2003 when the Reds won 3-0 on aggregate to reach the quarter-finals.

The most famous meeting between the two teams was in Europe, a UEFA Cup tie in 1991 when Liverpool produced a memorable comeback. The Reds were 2-0 down from the first leg in France but Graeme Souness's side turned it around at Anfield. Mark Walters scored the winner in front of the Kop to seal a 3-2 aggregate win.
